Energy Density means calories divided by grams/weight. The low energy density foods are also high nutrient dense foods.

This really hits home for me since my current daily calorie intake is almost exactly the same – calorie control is not about restricting food intake – just making better choices. And if you do happen to eat from the food in the picture on the left, you can work it into your calorie count for the day by making better choices the rest of the day. Don’t let one meal discourage you!
